Sauna FAQs
-
You will need to bring swimwear, a full water bottle to stay hydrated + two towels – one to sit on in the sauna + one for drying after (we have towels for rent if you need them).
Bring swim footwear if needs be and something warm + cosy to hang out in after! -
A sauna is an all-round experience that includes relaxation, health benefits, ritual and connection to others, as well as nature.
We recommend 5-15 minute sessions inside the sauna with lots of breaks outside or in the cold plunge/water if you want to.
Arrive 10-15 minutes early to allow time to change and make the most of your session. If you arrive late we sadly won’t be able to extend your slot.
-
We have a small sheltered area to change under if its raining and some buckets for your things – so ideally come ready to sauna in your swimsuits.
Each location has a cold water option for you to cool down. -
Anyone over the age of 16 can join any of our sessions, and children over the age of 7 can join a private session with a responsible adult. No children under 16 are allowed in our community sauna sessions.
We can make exceptions for children in community saunas however you must make contact with management prior to booking.
You will be asked when booking to read and sign a waiver.
Not all our saunas have wheelchair access and wheelchairs cannot stay in the sauna. If you are a wheelchair user please email us so we can have a chat beforehand.
If you have any underlying health conditions, are pregnant, or are taking any medication please check with your doctor before using the sauna.
If you start to feel nauseous, dizzy or have a headache please leave the sauna immediately and alert the nearest person.
Please see our covid policy below.
-
Please make sure that all your jewellery is removed as it gets really hot in the sauna.
Do not eat a big meal before your sauna and it is not recommended to drink alcohol before or during your sauna.
-
Often a traditional sauna experience is naked, however if you have booked a communal slot, we require that you wear your swimsuit as you will be sharing the sauna.
If you have booked a private sauna and you and your fellow guests want to be naked inside the sauna, that’s up to you! If you are naked please sit on a towel and check with us first. Please do not go outside the sauna naked.
-
We recommend booking in advance, but you are very welcome to pop by and see if we have any availability, or message us and we can let you know if there are any slots free.
When you book online you can pay in advance via the website.
If you are dropping in you can pay via card (which is preferable) or we can take cash.
-
If you need to cancel or reschedule your sauna session, this must be done with 48 hours notice so the sauna session can be re-advertised. You will be given a full refund or full credit. Please message the number on the website to do this.

We have a cold water option at all of our locations but no ice bath. We may be able to facilitate this with some prior notice. Please note that the ice bath and cold plunge is not a guided experience and is used at your own risk.

-
We aim to run all our saunas at around 90 to 95 Degrees Celsius. However this depends on the weather outside. The biggest variable being wind. If you are sitting on the top bench your maybe in temperatures of around 100 Degrees Celsius. Its important you listen to your own body and leave the sauna when your body is telling you to. Trying to keep to a set time is not advised.
